Ingredients



    • For the teriyaki sauce: (or use your favorite)
    • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
    • cup cold water
    • cup low sodium soy sauce
    • 1 cup pineapple juice
    • cup plus 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger, very fine
    • 2 small garlic cloves, finely minced
    • For the burger:
    • 2 pounds fresh ground beef or (ground turkey)
    • cup grated carrots
    • cup chopped scallions
    • jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
    • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
    • 1 Tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce
    • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce (more if you like it spicy)
    • 8 slices fresh pineapple
    • Lettuce, red onions and whatever other fixings you want for the burgers
    • 8 hamburger buns
